| The Partnership for Recovery is a coalition of non-profit alcohol and drug treatment providers dedicated to improving access to professional treatment for all Americans suffering from the disease of addiction. Addiction is a chronic, relapsing brain disease that is treatable. Our pursuit of equitable and non-discriminatory treatment will take place in the public policy arena with the goal of influencing and shaping public policy in those areas affecting individuals and/or family members with the disease. Members of the Partnership for Recovery will utilize both their vision and vitality to broaden public understanding of the disease and the value of professional treatment. We share a common philosophy and more than 125 years of treatment experience based on the 12-step model with an emphasis on family involvement and individual recovery. |
